Arie has added that for the second package the eastern apron expansion has reached 20.7 percent progress. Meanwhile, the third package of construction of the new VVIP building is 5 percent.
“We try to complete all projects in August 2018. For the package of a western apron expansion using a 6 hectare reclamation method for IMF needs only. The reclamation is suitable for the needs of 3 large aircraft and or 6 narrow body planes for the IMF only, “he explain.

Socialization of Airport Expansion Project

Socialization of the expansion has been done by the AP I Ngurah Rai to Indigenous Villages of Tuban and Kelan Traditional Village. In principle, the local villagers have approved the expansion of the Airport apron to the needs of the IMF.
“They agreed but with various constructive notes that all must comply with AMDAL recommendations. And also, it should not impact their places for worshiping. It will not sacrifice the lands of traditional villages of Kelan and Tuban. Moreover, the projects not restrict the local people to access the beach. It is because the beach very important for Melasti ritual purpose,” Arie add.
In addition, both customary villages demanded that the extension affect Angkasa Pura responsibly. The responsibilities are relating to abrasion or disruption of flood and other environmental impacts.
